We'd previously been chestnut hunting this year, but had previously not gotten quite enough for a big project like this. So when I recently discovered this huge horse chestnut tree 3.5 km from our home I decided to take our two oldest girls on a bike ride, while I joined them running. There were so many chestnuts we could have collected for several hours!

Thanks to this pumpkin as a base shape and lots of toothpicks ...

... the hedgehog is slowly starting to take shape.

And the doorstep decoration is complete!
